The walk to River Festival

YeaP! I finally manage to catch it this year. The fireworks !!

I missed it two years ago as I was in Townsville for the weekend. This year.. I definitely won't miss it.

As what Thomson and I did the past few saturdays, we went for house inspection. This time, we inspected 7 houses. The inspections are at Toowong, Taringa and KelvinGrove suburbs. We finally found 2 that we really liked and had fill up the application form. * Keeping my fingers cross*

Anywayz, our last house inspection is around 2.50pm. The very last one. Thomson and I were exhausted. Especially me! I am sick of driving manual car. As I have mentioned in previous post, I have no coordination. I am lousy in manual drive cars. POor Thomson.. he have to bare with my driving skills.. which at the end made him feel nauseated. Oh well, a treat of Ice Green Tea with sour plum did the cure.

After a short rest, we walked to Chinatown for tea. Actually, it is more like a meeting place before the start of the journey to the fireworks view spots. I had two ice tea and a french toast at a HongKong CharChanTeng style. What I need to strongly empasize on is that I W-A-L-K-ed there.

After the meeting up with some other friends, we decided the best spot for fireworks will be at Kangaroo Point. Since there will be traffic and a few major roads closure due to the event. It is more advisable to walk. Yeap.. another walk.

When I arrive there, I was drained. As predictable, the place is crowded with people. People who've been BBQ-ing, some set up tents with comfy stools, some with their beers and singing along with the music from radio blasting loudly. It was a noisy and crowded. All is in a happy and chirpy mood, anticipating the fireworks. We finally manage to sqeeze in and find a spot and wait for the arrival of the fireworks.

At 7pm sharp, two military aircraft flew past the city with a big blast of fire behind. It is the signal. Everyone cheered and the fireworks started to color the dark sky with amazing patterns and style.

Fifteen minutes gone. I started to get bored. As impatient as I usually am. I started to find it too long. I patiently waited until the final finale of the fireworks. Another 5 minutes of waiting, I heard the radio announcement on the final finale, I stood up and alert myself as usually the finale is suppose to be the grandest of all. :D It did. The two planes finaly re-appeared to end ceremony.

The crowd begin to spread and leave. So does our group. I will need to walk back to the city, which I find it really tiring after the whole day of events. My legs hurts from the constant pressing of clutch and brake pedal as well as the walks. Not long after we said our goodbyes to the group, Onnie and I bump into his friend who drove to KangarooPoint. We are at luck. Alex and Boon fetch me and Onnie back to the city.

So in total, 20 min ( city to chinatown) + 45 min (chinatown to kangaroopoint) = 1 hr 5 min

Actually it's not much of a bigger deal, just that I am so use to Malaysia lifestyle. We seldom walk as the hot sun glaring down on us and the high dependant on car.

Don't get me wrong. I LuRRvvVee walks. I treasure the walks with my parents at Menglembu Hill. I love bush walking in the rainforest ( I miss those days when I am travelling from Townsville to Cairns... the rainforest walks hold some of my fondest memories ).

But hell, I am not up for it that day and I survived through the busy day! YeY!!

Self-sooth

To self-sooth myself. I decide to go to Borders. I manage to spend, give and take an hour there.
What I got for myself :

I searched through amazon and Eat Pray Love got great book reviews. The writer, in her 30s left home and head to Italy, India and Indonesia for a year. Reason being: she wanted to find pleaser, devotion and balance. Hmmpphh.. should be interesting read.
Anthony Bourdain. Need I say more. I read Kitchen Confidential earlier this year, which Gavin highly recommended it. I believe this book will continue to engross me. His writing is sharp and with a twist of phrase.
Only got myself two books eventhough I caught my eye on:

Totally love it. I wonder when I will get my hands on it... Hmmpph.... *Should I* Should you*
Oh.. as I was q-ing up at the cashier, this CD caught my eye. I was so so so tempted. It's really a good collection. All my favorite U2 songs are in there. I love 'One' best.

Should I get it??

Living at the heart of City

I am living in the city. That's rite, the heart of the city.. or perhaps the corner of the heart.

It's just a street away from Queen Street.

I love the fact that whenever I have a sudden craving for ice cream in the middle of the night, I can just slip on my slipper and head down to 7/11 with my Pjs.

I love the fact that I can just go Coles or the Korean supermarket whenever I ran out of stuff within minutes.

I love the fact the bus stand to the uni is just 2 streets away.

I love the fact that I can always get food, coffee anytime I want. Err... Correction, everything close here around 5pm.

*sighZ* But anywayz I will have to move at the end of September. Too bad. The tower will be shifting operation to service apartment.

Been looking for 2 saturdays with zero results. *SiGHZ*

I finally manage to meet up with Aunty and Uncle.

They are in town! Yup. Aunty and Uncle is Hooiling's parents. I do not know how to call them so just aunty and uncle. Of Coz... they are no ordinary uncle or aunty.

They arrive Brisbane a couple of days later than me. We wanted to meet up sooner but their grandson decide to arrive into our world earlier then expected :D

His name is YiiShuin.

On Sunday, I went to KokKeong korkor house in Sunnybank. I was late as there is a previous engagement. Need to head out to Logan to an outdoor park outing in the morning.

I am really happy to see aunty and uncle :D They both seems well and healthy as usual. The house is full of people. Hurray!! I do get bored here somtimes.

Aunty cook LOADS OF FOOD! HAhA.. I practically eat non-stop during my whole duration there. I was so full but I still can't help to eat.
Food : Fried BiHun, Nasi kunyit, Curry Chicken, Pork Stew, Belacan, Mix Vege, Fried Ginger Chix, Fried noodles.

The crowd was fun too. There are more than 15 ppl and most of them from Malaysia. Most of the time, I played with the children. We played hide and seek, drawing, gardening, fights and killing. Haha...

TWINS!! Emma and Peterson
Yii Hern :D KokKeong's elder son
Only later during the evening (after another heavy meal) , KokKeong korkor decided to begin to play blackjack. Just for fun...So around 10 of us (uncle included) played along. Maximum bet is $2. We started of with BlackJack until KokKeong korkor taught us a game call "Deng" . A game common in the north part of Malaysia and in Thailand. It was good fun! HAha... much much better than blackjack :D.

Had a good fun :D

Oh. wanted to note down : I made potato salad and bake a cake on Saturday!! CoOlz!

Addicted to Coffee

I am dead. I am totally dead.

I did not realize that I am addicted to coffee until today.

The very day I arrive Brisbane, I have been starting to drink coffee nearly every day. Okay. I have to admit I quit on my fags. Totally zero fags. I quit and stop. I made my choice. No! I did not have any craving at all. I am strong and very much motivated to stop it. This coming over here make it a better situation to quit. New environment, new lifestyle and not to mention on the price of fags here.. GoshPrettyEx!! So I call it a quit.

Here I am addicted to C-O-F-F-E-E.

Reason being:
1) it's winter... a hot cup of drink is desirable after a bus ride.
2) Merlo's serves good strong coffee
3) it kinda keeps me awake during seminars ( 3 hours!! )
4) Merlo's is on my way classes
5) Coffee is everywhere here

It's a Friday. I dun have seminars on friday. I plan to be in my room today. Just read and play my game. O... and watch Grey's Anatomy. Plus the weather is real bad. It's been raining day and night for more than 4 days. It's extremely windy too. So me in my cosy apmt is the best way to spend Friday. Did I ever mention that I LURVE Friday, along with most of the people I know too. Cindy Cluny is one of them :D

Oh well. It's afternoon already, I was watching Grey's until the headache started to kick in. My head started all fuzzy and wizzy. I wondered what's wrong.... only to realise I am low in caffeine!! It's raining and cold. I so dun feel like getting out of my cozy bed.

Coffee rulz. I changed and head down. Gosh! This is why living right in the heart of city is so amazing, a freshly brewed coffee is just 22 floors down.

I ordered an extra large. It is not as good as Merlo's but wat the heck. ME NEED KOPI.

Ciao

Assignments

I miss the days when in Utar the assignments is just another easy thing to do..

The main reason?? I have loads of friends to do it with. The friends who are good in their work. Friends who are easy going. Friends who treat everyone as friends :D

In total, I have a good bunch of friends to work with and ended up with good marks too :D The process doing assignments are fun and enjoyable. I am usually more focus on what we will eat after the meeting or perhaps before the meeting. Or just wanted to get the job done and over with.

Without them here now. Hmm... saddens me.

I just need to put so much more effort to do my assignments.

O Bugger.

I have like 4 subjects and in total of 3 individual assignments and 3 group assignments with 3 semester exams.

O Bugger Bugger...

The Difference and LOCO ROCO!

The difference between Here and There

Phone Ringing: Extremely low / Quite often
Ipod usage : Very often/ Seldom
Public transport : Often / Least
Walking: Quite often / Not so much
Online: Nothing much difference
Driving: Not so/ Constantly
Cook: Amazingly lots / Very seldom

Read: Similar
Eat: Much more/ Sufficient

The things I miss and notice the diffferent most is my mobile. It seldom ring. My iPod usage is really high as comparing in KL. O cooking! Gosh! I must say that my cooking is much much more edible .. Hell! It is GOOD!! MuaHahAhaha.. Yup. I do cook and I can cook. Actually I think it's every human instinct to cook.

My iPod is my constant companion, so much, until it is always low in batt. *SighZ* My only solution is to use PSP!! MuahAhAhhaaHha.... Only when I forgot to charge my iPod (quite often).

I got 2 games for the PSP. It's so super duper GOOD!!!!! One of it is Gurumin and ...

Lemme introduce LOCO ROCO :D

It's a really cute and fun game... Err.. did I ever mention that I am bad in playing all sort of games. As Onnie mention, I am bad in coordination and have zero patience. Still.. it is loads and loads of fun. I give it a 9 over 10.

Market Day

The CuPCakes!! Arent' they just beautiful, delicately designed with care.

Flowers at the Market is also cheaper and more exotic :D Me Likey!

Yup! I fell in love with the Saturday Market.

The food there is irrisistable. From Cupcakes to Garlic Turkish Bread... From Curry Puff to Ricecrackers. It's all good and duper yummy.

Oh... I am fatter by day. Since the day I arrive here, all I think of is food. The food here is bigger in portion and creamier too! The desserts here are all fattening. And the chips here are more yummier too. The cold is not doing any good either. I just keep on eating :P But it's all for the good. I love food. I am having constant craving for the tort chips.

That does not mean that I do not miss M'sian food either. I already have a list, mind you! I will be patiently waiting till Devember for :

-Curry Mee (oldtown)
-LokeLoke (Ipoh Gdn East)
-Hakka Mee (My dad and I's breakie)

A Diff route.. A Diff Mood

I finally manage to finalise all my subjects and courses. It has been hell last 2 weeks for me. I was scared that I could not able to allocate 8 units this semester and the subjects for sem is limited due to lots of timetable clashes.

Finally! I manage to take a deep breath and do watever was needed.

I was feeling rather chirpy and relieved after everything sorted out at uni. I decided to walk around the campus. I wanted to venture out a bit from the normal route. I decided to stroll along the lake. Which was rather ridiculous, as I just bought 3 textbook that is awfully heavy. Then again, my mood ... is GOOD! So it does not really matter.

It is really beautiful.

I found out another bus stop at the other side of the lake. It's the 109 bus stop. I always wonder where this bus stop at uni. The usual bus I took is 412, which stops right in front of the uni's sudent centre. That day, I took a different route back to city.

Hmmm... A change out of the norm. I think it's always good to do sth different once in awhile. It's oddly refreshing and make your mind wander bit. The route is headed from South side of Brisbane ( SouthBank ) then to city.

I think I'll try to take the citycat(boat ride) one day to uni :D ehhe..

Hey!! Did I mention that I manage to finish off Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. IT'S PERFECT. It took me 3 days to finish it. I was so anxious, I like it from the very beginning to the end. Although at the middle, was a bit dull... BIT!! It is when Harry and Hermoine shifting around places without any clue to find the Horcrux. Altogether it is definitely better then the previous book.

My favorite Harry Potter is still the fourth :D I love it to bits... from the Quidditch World Cup to the Triwazard Tournament ... dragons, Winky, maze,Viktor Krum. It is all good good good.

Cheers to Harry Potter and Cheers to JK Rowling

Any Carbon footprint you left today?

Carbon footprint. I first come across it last year when my bro talking about it during dinner. I was like "wat the heck is he talking about". My curiosity did not ends there. I went online to get to know what is it about.

Yesterday while I was attending lecture, it came about again.

I again search online and find out more about it.

Do you realise that global warming is coming sooner then predicted. Do you realise that it is mostly caused by human activities *sHameFul*.

IF we do nothing!!??
Rising global temperatures will cause sea level to rise and alter local climate conditions, affecting forests, crop yields, and water supplies. It may also affect human health, animals, and many types of ecosystems. Deserts may expand and some of our countryside may be permanently altered.

There is lots of simple things that one can do! Things that might not even matter. Things that is not even worth. But bits and pieces do end up being loads!

So, you and I could prolly start by: click here

What I did is:
  • Taking public transport to classes *KEkEKkE*
  • Using recycle bag to market (the green bag)
  • Din turn on the heater at all (it's not tat freaking cold anyway)
  • Hangout cloths ( I dun like trunble dry, it wrinkles up my cloths)
  • Try as much as I could to turn off electricity items that is unused
  • Buy local fruits ( KeKE.. strawberries in season now)
  • Eating less meat, more vege
I will definitely try to :
  • Unplug mobile phone, iPod, PSP as soon as it has finished charging
  • Go for a run rather than drive to the gym ( but is so far far away)
  • Do your weekly shopping in a single trip ( But then the supermarket is just a block away, and I walk!!)
  • Fill the kettle with only as much water as you need
  • Turn down the water heating setting
  • When on holiday - hire a bicycle to explore locally rather than a car
  • Towels to be washed every other day, rather than every day

See.. It's just so simple to save the world. What's your carbon footprint, eh?

Old Movies

Yup! I am into old movies now.

Can't help but to fall in love with all those old movies. I need to confess, mostly starred by Audrey Hepburn. She is definitely a lady, a class of it's own.

I rented those old dvds... fallen in love with all these love comedy. Why can't they do it like in the old days. Gosh! They are just exquisite and charming, both the characters and the movie.

Haha.. Fetish in old, black and white movies.
Hmm... I watched:

  • Paris, When It Sizzles
  • Sabrina
  • Funny Face
  • Love in the Afternoon

I've yet to see "Breakfast at Tifanny's" though. It is always out of rent. *GgRrRrrrr*

Oh.. there is one more that I really need to mention is "It's a Wonderful Life".

It's a Wonderful Life is produced and directed by Frank Capra, based on the short story, "The Greatest Gift" written by Philip Van Doreb Stern.

Although not an Oscar winner at the time it has been since named by the American Film Institute as one of the best films ever made and was placed number one on the AFI's 100 Years and ...100 Cheers list of the most inspirational American films of all time.

Er.. I can't really say that it is 'tat' inspirational. All I can say that that it definitely is a good movie and life is trullu wonderful :D

SouthBank Stroll

After dinner at Sunnybank, Onnie and I decided to head down Southbank for a stroll. A walk meal should be good :D especially after a full stomach.

Never did we know that there is a Dance Street going on.
There are various dance stage. From Indian dance to Latino to rap to hip-hop. It's really good. The street, Stanley street was crowded with people, young and old.

At the different stage, there will be people dancing UP on the stage as well as BELOW the stage. It is really a good fun. The stage performer will dance a whole dance and then step by step teaching the crowds to dance as well, which is really good. There are loads of ppl dancing on the street, browsing and strolling around. It's a great night.

Manage to took some pix using my mobile, the outcome is not as good as it's taken at night.

Long Awaited Meal

I've been longing for the potato salad for months. It's not just any potato salad. It's THE potato salad.

I got wee bit smarter and booked the table at Sono's for Friday Dinner. I've been cooking quite frequently and wanted to get a break. Plus I din manage to eat at Sono's last Friday. So today is the day to E.A.T.
My PotAtO SalAd. As Yummy as Expected.

Had Wagyu Beef Steak. Medium-rare.

Shishamo. ChEwY!

Shashimi Moriawase.. Err.. I was too hungry. Only manage to take the picture after eating half way. Correction.. almost finsihing.

O.. and two more.. I forgot to take picture. Agedashi tofu and black sesame ice cream.

I know.. I shoulda take the photos. But seriously, with the food right in front of you... it's like they are luring you to eat them. They hypnotised me. I can't help but just grab the chopstick and eat it. I forgot to take pictures. Sighz..

Satisfied. Full. Dinner. **BURP** excuse me

First week of classes

Wanna check out my ID?
HahhAa... I am officially a student... again!!! A re-born student.

With this ID I can get concession public transport ticket and even movie ticket too. CoolEh! Err.. come to think of it.. not that cool. The amount of tuition fee is a ShArK KiLLer. Not to mention the exchange rate.
I am really tryin my bery bery best not to spend that much dy. I din even went in Kookai during the sales time. *AheM* My mum was amazed too, hearing that I din even step in Kookai or any boutique watsoever.
My classes. Some of the classes are pretty cool. Gosh. Compared to UTAR? Err... no comment :P Lecturers, I guess, is all the same throughout. No comment on that either. What I really wanted to say is...?? I MISS MY UNIMATES IN UTAR!

The students in the classes I attended are mostly... err... I duno? err... Yikes.. No Comment Either. The students in some classes are mostly from China. Some from Taiwan. Some classes, the students are very snobbish. Some are too quiet. Some are way too mature. Some are still fresh and cool. I feel so like an outsider. I dun like the feeling, dun like the feeling at all. Will I be able to fit in? I never have difficulty mixing around. I seldom have that kinda problem. I just felt awkward and out of everything. Hmm... Sighz.. Will see how it goes.

But, I do really miss my unimates.
Wondering if they all miss me too??

Anyway, on wednesday is the market day for UQ. It is the enrolment for the clubs and societies day. Well, it's pretty cool. Loads of ppl. Loads of students. Loads of freebies.

They give out pens, rulers, even a studen diary. OH! Even HotDogs. The queue was pretty long though. I walked and have a look around, can't help and took a few photos before I head back to the city to have lunch.

Too public for kisses

I was taking bus after classes back to the city.

Today is my first day of class. The class was suppose to end at 7pm. The lecturer let us of early. (I wanted to blog on my first day of class stuff... but HeCK! I wanted to blog on this more, so please do read on).

Hurrying-ly, I went to the main bus stop. Obviously I need to wait for the bus. I popped my headphones and get my book out for a read. I can't help but noticing the couple in front of me SNUGGLING and KISSING. I was not really offended watsoever by it. Gosh! Everyone have their own right to do whatever they want. I just continue on with my read.

Once on bus, it's rather crowded. I was pushed all the way back. I took a sit and listen to my iPod. I can't read anymore as reading during the ride makes me drowsy.

There was a couple in front of me. Yup! Another couple. They are again snuggling, cuddling, hugging, kissing and FRENCH kissing. NoW! I can't take that. I was bored in the bus and my eyes keep wandering around. Plus there is not much place I can look at as I am sitting at aisle sit and the bus is really packed! Conclusion, their affectionate love act drew my attention.

I was like constantly counting on their number of kisses or pecks. There are like 1 peck in every 15 seconds and the french kiss can last for like 15 seconds.

GOSH! hElLO! I am still fresh from Malaysia. It was not even allowed to hold hands for muslims in Malaysia (non-married), let alone a teeny hug!! I just arrive here 2 weeks. I can't take it. It was like too upclose and personal. GosH! Get a room!!!

Oops... the couple? One of them are asian, the other ABC. I think.

Harry Potter?? War Price??

Seriously, it's ridiculous.

I checked my yahoomail today. My yahoomail is usually for junk mail. I click into Inbox and browse through several spam mails. As HarryPotter is currently now the 'hit' thingy now, a mail from MPH caught my eye with the title of "HarryPotter and the Deathly Hallow"( I am in their mailing list).

I clicked it. I was rather surprise to read that they stop their sales for this long awaited book.
Copied along here:

I straight away search on the net to find out why.

Interested to know why??
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/7/21/nation/18369076&sec=nation
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/07/21/arts/AS-A-E-BKS-Malaysia-Harry-Potter.php

MPH, Popular, Times and Harris bookstores, these 4 major bookstore in Malaysia have decided to withdraw the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows novel from their shelves in protest against Tesco and Carrefour's move in selling the novel at a much cheaper price of RM69.90. The retail price of the book is RM109.90

As a consumer or a reader, OfCOz! Watever the cheapest will do me fine. HahA. I think the bookstore have their reason to ban the sales once and for all. I do understand the un-fairness. But Heck! The same quality, the same content with a much cheaper price wins~!!

Er. No. I paid Aus$19.95 plus the earlier pre-order of $10. So I did not buy it cheap. I have a free cuddly white owl though. It is some sorta promotion item when you prebook it earlier.

Err No. No. Have not start the read just yet. Will start once I am finish with my current book.

ChilL!

Choices and fear

I can't make decisions.

I am not a good choice maker at all. Esp on my future.

I am not a plannereither . Not at all. Everyone knows that I am the last minute kinda person. I messy and blur.
I can't but I should.

When one is left with choices. Too many to choose from. Options. Crossroads. It becomes confuse.

I am changing my program. I was frustrated for a couple of days.
I head to consult to the student advisor. I need advise. I realize no matter what, the decision is mine to choose.

As quoted by Alfred A. Montapert "Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choice". Decisions is difficult. Which ever decisions is made, I will have to bare the consequences of it.

The due date is today.
I am still lost. Should I be more focus on my field or should I varied. Will I end up becoming a joker of all sorts and a master of none?

Sighz. I am afraid.
I am afraid of the path that I need to chose (in due time) will affect my path. Or will it not? I think the fear is a good sign. It will draw my attention and be more wise in making the final decision. As the saying goes, only a fool is not afraid. Me no fool :P

At least I do know and will understand is that, once my decision is made, is confirmed and chosed. I will stick to it. I will face the consequences and perhaps nag a little or perhaps be gloomy about it a little. I will defeinitely own up and understand that watever it is. There is no one and anything that I could blame and the outcome of it... is my own responsibilty.
(at least, I am not a loser on that :P)

Harry Potter : The final book

It's saturday!!
The official release of the long awaited book.

Aussie's release is 0901 hrs ( the same time on London time, 0001 hours).

NO! I din queue up for the release. D.U.H.!!

I did past through the bookstore in the city as I was heading out to the market at 9.20am. I just live one block away from Borders. Oh well, the queue was long. The queue was up to the building that I stay in. So it was roughly 150 m queue. The people q-ing come from various age group. I can't help myself but to drive around the block to have another closer. There are quite a number of kids who dress up for the ocassion. *HeHeHE* Harry's glasses. Griffidor uniform. The broom. And loads more.

Hehe. Took a photo too

I eventually head to the market.

I cam back to the city around 2pm after running the errands. I went to Borders. The long q has died down. I went in to the bookstore. I realize there is indeed a queue. I was still anticipating on the ending. I waited in line for a rough 20 minutes. I already pre-order the book earlier before the release date. Once I was at the cashier doing payment, I can't help myself but to turn to the last page.

No worries!Chill!! I won't be the spoiler. I won't unleash the awaited ending in this blog. Not yet though.

What I wanted to say it's not really the ending that I was hoping for. But then again, I will still need to read through the whole book to find out the reason why!!

It is just me. I have this habit of the need to know the ending.

Oh no. I have not started the book yet. I am still halfway reading "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'engle. It's highly recommended, although it's for interme. Hey! HarryPotter is the same thing eh!

Who says adult need to read only adult books :P

I got worried back there. My beauty care products, my lingerie, my jackets and pants PLUS two of my favorite bags are in it. Dun you get conned by the size. It actually weighed 24.5kg. The max is 25 kg in the size. Wat I did back in M'sia before packing all my cloths in. I vaccumed it. I bought this vacumable-easystorage-bag. I put all the heavy cloths in and suck all the air out before packing it :D Cool-eh!!

HEhEhe... I can't help it but to rejoice! HUREAAaaaYYy!!!

I unpack quickly and set my stuff straight for my easy usage! MuahhAHHAhAHa KUDOS to that.

O. I bought flowers to decorate the place I am staying as well.

T-U-L-I-P-S!!

YupYup!!! I bought a bunch. It's a beauty. ME Likey TuLiPs. MuahAha.... I think the picture will do the justice of it. Rather then me describing the beauty and the chirpiness it brings to me everyday. It just brightens up the day a bit more. Dun you agree?

Second day - O

Okay. This time I manage to get to UQ on time.

I was L.O.S.T.

According the the program, I am suppose to head to "Getting Started" at the Union Centre. I arrive there and just follow blindly with the rest of the people around. I head down to a hall. I figure that since that is the most people head and all do look 'fresh'.

Well.. I went in to the hall. The first session was on the culture shock rap. I was half asleep back there. After more then half an hour, only did I realize that I actually went to the wrong place. The session I attended was "Welcoming the International Student" session. I was suppose to go to another session on 'Getting Started' at the same time but different location.

I really needed to attend the session so I know.. err.. how to get started!! Sighz..and I miss it. Due to my negligence and my dupidity. ArGhhh...
*DuPid BLuR me*

Anyway, I continue and stayed there until the end of the session. I head to the library as I wanted to get my student ID ( as stated in the guide). After a long queue, only then I realized that I need to enrol first and will take at least 24 hours to activate the Student ID card. So there you go. The NuTtIe Me.

Oh, I met a few of Malaysians while I am at the Union Centre. They are from a Christian Club. HMmmMm... :D CooLz! We manage to exchange no. and chat a bit :D Haha.. I am still in contact with the outside world.

I finally get a cup of flat white at Merlos. *ME LiKey* and head to School of Social Science. I can't help and take a picture on the way there.

I went to Michie Building and ask for consultation in order to choose my subjects correctly. After getting information from the counselor I left Uni for the day.

:D Will be back to UNI tmrw for the library tour and IT stuff. Wish me luck. I will be attending the session tmrw. YUP! The CorreCt One!! I checked out the place today to double confirm that I will get to the right place tmrw. *kKEke* I seriously need to pay more attention and less on the daydream. ArgHhh.. I wonder if I'll be able to survive in UQ.

I seriously hope that I am not that blur. Sighz. I miss my unimates. Utar is so much easier.

*SoBz*SoBx*

DHL = Damn Hell Lazy

I decided to send some of my stuff through DHL as I realize that there is much I need to bring.

Rather send it over then buy all over, rite! It cost saving and environment frenly :P

The problem is that I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARCEL YET!! They said it just needs two working days! F***!!!

I purposely arrive early to KL on my departure day to Brissie to send the parcel that I pack to DHL. I calculated the time and hopefully to get in latest on Friday in Brisbane. Heck! It's already Monday. I did not have it yet.

I've been making loads of calls to DHL Brisbane. All I can get is different recievers and all they told me it is under custom clearance. etc.etc.etc. Sighz. There seem to be some extra charges being made for the personal items sent fr M'sia to Aus. I dun fucking give a damn about that. I just want then to hasten the process. I serioulsy need the stuff. I mean seriously, I NEED THE PARCEL.

I do not know why they are so slow in all this. They do not even bother to call. Instead of me calling them again and again. I wonder is this the service of DHL?

First day Orientation

Guess wat! I overslept on my first day of orientation.

*Sighz*
Oh well!! I manage to head down to UQ in the afternoon. It's too late. I'll just have to go again tmrw for the compulsory brief. The truth is I am kinda lost. Go figure! I am always blur in utar, tis time round make no difference.
Gosh! I miss UTAR! Seriously!! I miss Janelle, Penny and Grace. I wonder will I be able to survive and pass through and finish my course this time round.
The JPG and loads of my unimates has been my support throughout my 3 years in uni. I do not know what I will do without them.

Taken in June 2007, Janelle came down fr Singapore and kinda our group outing before I head DownUnder

Who will help me with my assignments, who will inform me about my dued homework, who will remind me on the exams, who will let me copy their notes, who will help me with my Mword, who will ring me up and wake me up to class. Who will photostat the notes for me, who will cover up and sign my attendants, who will help me out with my thesis, who will back me up, who will let me copy their test papers, WHO WHO WHO!!!

Yikes, I now wonder wat I did during my 3 years in uni. Sometimes I wonder how I manage to graduate.

I AM DOOMED without them. Of coz! Not forgetting Kuan Mei, Jasmine and Simpson. Oh Irene too.

Taken in 2006, finishing some assignment at my place. Oh! Frodo is here too

Journey

I finally left Malaysia.

I was back in Ipoh for a few days. It’s not enough.
It is only when I am back in Ipoh I only felt the reluctance to leave.

I will definitely miss my family the most. Their full support, their never-ending support. Their love. Their care.
I already missed them before I even left.

I left Ipoh and went straight to KL on the day of departure.
My whole family sent me off. N-O-P-E! I din cry at all.

The journey to Brisbane was a terrible one.
As I only book the tix last minute plus its peak season. I only manage to get Qantas flight. That only means I have to change terminal in Singapore. *Sighz* I took a train in Changi Airport T2 to T1, have a queue up to recheck-in for Sin-Bne. Ate alone. Lucky thing, my beloved iPod was there to accompany me :D

Once on board, I din manage to get any sleep. Oh well, I saw one movie though. A French movie! “Hors de prix” meaning “priceless”, starred by Audrey Tantou (me likey her!!) and Gad Elmaleh. It is a fresh re-imaging of the cinema classic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Tried drinking. Does not work. Ended restless.

Once arrive in Brissie, I notice there are 4 plane that also just arrive not long ago. Imagine the queue! One on immigration and another on custom. The queue was so LONG!!! ARggHhh… I was drowsy due to the lack of sleep. The queue was freaking long. I only manage to get out from the airport after 2 and ½ hours.

*SigHz*

I slept the whole day once arrive.

Oh yeah! I nearly forgot. I cut my hair!! HHehE.HEhe. I figure 'why not,eh!??!'. I wanted to start everything afresh. A whole new life, why not a new look. Just for a change in my physical outlook. HeHE... as what Eliza said, " At least if the cut is terrible, you will be in Aussie!!". I made my decision and cut my hair. In the end, Me likey it LoadsZz!!!

The departure

I am leaving.

Hopefully for the best.

It's been a year... its still haunting me now and then.
But then again, the heartache should come to an end.

Somethings are a wee bit too late. Somethings can't be turn back. Somethings aren't suppose to be left to fate. Somethings perhaps is best left unsaid.

I need to move on and I did.
I am glad I stick with it.

I am now ready to start... to take a turn in life.

Not so much of a Farewell note to my friends

I've sent out an email blast to most of my friends through mail. Just in case, I miss out some of my dearest friends. That does not mean you are not important, just the usual blur me!! Here you go...

I will be leaving to Aussie on the 10 July. I will be furthering my studies in Social Science for 1 & 1/2 years.

It's my honor to have you throughout all this years in KL and Ipoh. It will never be that spectacular without you. I will treasure the moments we shared and cherish the laughter we gaged on and on.

I have been through alot this few years over in KL. The Ups and Downs,I believed, have made a better 'me'. I had now trully begin to understand what is pain, what is tears, what is laughter, what is sorrow and what is happiness. I learned, I fall and get back up. I laughed, I cheered, I treasured and kept in heart. I just wanted to say that having you as my friend made it all so much easier.

This is not a goodbye. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks for being in my life. I thank you for being you!

I hope that distance would not be a barrier to continue this precious friendship. Do keep in touch.

Hugs And Kisses

I AM F***ING TIRED OF PACKING!

Packing

I finally got everything settled and done...

Except PACKING!

I have to shift everything from KL back to Ipoh. And pack again to Aussie... *heLP*

Gosh! Basically I have stayed in KL for around 3 and 1/2 years. The stuff that I collected does not seem so. My packing is never ending. One by one... each and everything gives me headache.

My snowglobe.. to start of with, I do not know how can I transfer them back to Ipoh. I have to say goodbye to my books. I need to pack it all up and list it all down into Word Document. My Dvd player, my mini TV, my radio. Last but not leasts, MY CLOTHS!! It's never ending. My amenities, my beautycare products.. the list go on and on.

I decided to send a few parcels to Australia. I decided that I better make full use of what I have right now rather than buying it over again. Might as well utilize what I have rather than buying it all over again.

I am leaving on 10 July. One more week to go. I have not pack. My room in KL is in a mess. I have not yet got the opportunity to say goodbye to all my friends (Correction: not goodbye, it's definitely not a goodbye. It's 'see you soon'). I still need to spend time with my parents and yet I am stuck in packing.

Argghhhh!!I HAVE ENOUGH OF BUYING! The packing is damn scary. It really gives me headache.

For the thrill of buying and shopping, there is always a fallback.

I've enough of buying. Errr... Except for the BIG COOL bag that I have been eyeing.. *KekKe*

Reservation for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, anyone??

I guess everyone is anticipating for the final Harry Potter including myself...

I had it reserved months ago at Borders, The Curve so I can read it asap.
(Hey...I really wanted to know if Harry will die or not :P and Lord Voldemort too)

I guess I won't be able to collect it since I will be away.
I will have to give up my deposit for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
I have paid RM30 for that.

So if anyone wanted it, do let me know.
Gimme a call or drop me an e-mail.

*ciao*

My first day after ME

Gosh! I woke up at 7.30 in the MORNING!!!

After three months of waking up early every weekday... I finally am so used to it.

I slept early the night before around eleven. I really did try to sleep late but my eye lids keep on dropping. I went to Eliza's place for dinner. My dear Eliza cooked Fried Rice! *YuUmY* I think she is the blame for my sleepiness. The fried rice is super yummy and I ate loads. As I believe, a full tummy, makes everyone sleepy. I doze off straight after my shower.

SO there I woke up at 7.30!! while forcing myself back to sleep. I actually lied on my bed till 10am. Amazingly.

Once woke up. I organize my whole day. I got loads to prepare for my leaving to DownUnder.
  • I went Bangsar for my glasses and contact lenses ( need to stock up - daily and 2 weeks disposable)
  • Went to withdraw cash * MuAkz *
  • Went to Cosway for lunch and buy stationary
  • Went for medical check up * fInAlly!!*
  • Head to KLCC (bought a waist pouch :D)
  • Drove to Ikea (need storage boxes)
  • Stop by Curve (get my daddy a toiletry bag)
There!! I was finally back home at 6pm.

I miss doing errands during weekdays. I MISS IT!!
I miss stopping by for coffee with San in the afternoon weekdays.
I miss the non-crowds in shopping malls in weekdays.

Everything goes smoothly today. No complications whatsoever. I miss doing errands on weekdays. Seriously!

Yet I kinda feel uneasy. I sorta miss ME too.

*weird*

ps. Hey! I am starting to blog again :D

After ME

Yup! I quit my job.

Worked in Marcus Evans for exactly 3 months. Gosh! How time flies.
In total, I have enjoyed my three months there.

The people in it are great :D especially my team. They are the only reason I can wake up everyday at 6.45 am. Hugs to Bern, Cindy, Am Mee, Kelly, Peng Pheng and Esther.

Oh well, the Korean and Philippine producer are the best to worked with too. They are amazing and their full support made my job so much easier... particularly with the language barrier ( I don't speak korean, mind you).

Not forgetting the out of office activities. *kEkE* I have not been blogging much since I started work. Whatever time I have left usually will be allocated for sleep.

I will miss them all. Thankfully there is Skype, Msn and friendster. *Phew* Will definitely keep in touch.

It's a great 3 months.

Well... alas.. my reason of resigning is that I finally decided to made my decision. It's finalized. I am pursuing my master in Australia. My whole course will take one and a half year.

It's a rather last minute decision but I think it is for the best.

Left the office with a *sighz* yet anticipating with the new future at 6.15 pm.

Basically, I am still in office. I should not be posting blogs. Wat the heck! Here I am! I dun give a damn. I have not been blogging for quite some time dy.

Kinda busy. Just too tired to blog. Need to catch up on it though.

Haha.
