Catching up with my reading.

I managed to finish The Catcher In the Rye by JD Salinger.
It's about a teenager angst about his life and his thoughts on things that just does not goes accordingly. The sarcasm, the resentment and controversy is kinda irritating and makes me wonder how in the world can a person have such thoughts on certain things. It just makes me think in another perspective.

We, homo sapiens ( thinking animals ) will never think or act alike to any other homo sapiens due to our culture, enculturation or not. We might agree or not on the way ppl chose to think but rather we should respect and be able to widen oneself on their perspective and thinking.

I am now reading on a lighter book.

The whole book is about the Marley, the notorious yet loving dog.

For more infor : click here

It is definitely highly recommended to all dogs lover. It captured the very essence of how a dog lover would have felt. It tells a story of a family together with Marley. Their ups and downs...Their laughter and tears it brought to me and I can actually felt thier celebrations and grief in life they encounter.

I have not finish the book yet. Been reading it day and night... just can't get my hands off it.
Slept at 3 last night plus I have my chap 2 thesis to hand up ( which was due 2 days ago ) ! It's killing me.

Pride and Prejudice

A 1995 British television drama serial, adapted from Jane Austen's novel

Director: Simon Langton
Producer: Sue Birtswistle
Executive Producer: Michael Wearing
Script: Andrew Daviesand
Jane Austen (novel)
Starring:
Jennifer Ehle

Managed to get hold of the Pride and Prejudice series alas.

This series is really fantastic!

The best thing is that the series DO manage to bring out the book.... like what I thought it would be in my mind!!

The character of Miss Elizabeth Bennet was brought out accordingly. Her prejudism, her wit and her beauty... is just exactly how I imagine she would be. Mr Darcy!! He is my favorite. Colin Firth manage to bring out the exact Mr Darcy. He is proud and conceit... yet kind at heart.

Gosh!! The series is simply wonderful.

Not forgetting the minor roles such as Lydia and Mrs Bennet. Their stupidity and ignorance in the series makes me wanna give them one big slap to wake them up! This is how good they are.

Each and everyones character in the series was amazingly acted. I give it a full 10 marks.

Oh Yeah!!

I did piercing!! YEY!!!!!!!
Finally... I manage to do it.

I booked it on the 27 May 2006 at roughly 1pm.

I am so glad with it! It just pains a lil. The lady is real professional. She just used the needle to poke through the ear. All the equipment were sterilized and the wrapper was teared right in front of my eyes. Just to proof that it's proper sterilized. I took a deep breath and my ear is pierced. There.... Done-ed!

I had one at Tragus ( my right ear ) and another one... at the gauge lobe area ( on my left ).

Congratulations to myself.

Just wanted to blog out this article .
It's been quite some time since I read on mags. IntereSting FindINgs!!

4 Baby- Making Facts :

1) The average ejaculate contains 80 million sperm.
2) Women who have their first child between 27 to 34 have healthier babies.
3) It takes 5 min for a sperm to reach the fallopian tupe after leaving a man's penis. Regardless of the position the couples in. The sperm can live up to 5 days.
4) A recent study found that when men felt a sense of rivalry with other men, their sperm is more mobile when their competitive instinct isn't getting fired up.

Basic Fact:

At birth, you have 1- 3 million eggs. By puberty you're at 400,000
1000 di3e off monthly until menopause

That means when we are in our:
20's only 300,000
30's only 180,000
40's only 60,000

Sigh... so in order to keep it fresh we need to :
  • Keep weight healthy
    Practice safe sex
  • Lay off booze
  • Pay attention to periods
  • Clear off ciggies
  • Pitch the fad diets
  • Monitor mental health
HahAha.... well. Lastly ! Go Girls... GO!

I was on board in SQ again.

I do not know why everytime the call bell ring.... it just gets into me.
I was constantly alerted by it ( sigh... guess this is call the work syndrome ). In the end, I popped on my iPod.

I miss flying. I really do.. but I need to move on. There is much more in life for me to venture and discover. Only that I am lost right now.

A late bloomer. I shoulda act like my age... have plannings and etc. But HECK.... I just feel that my life just begun.

Just like Daisies.
Waiting for the season to bloom and explore the wonders of life that God have granted us.
And like daisies, it will wilt as quickly as it grows...

I love my life. I love everything that had happened and bestow upon me.
It bring the 'me' and I am blessed with wonderful ppl being a part of my life.

Grease

Watched Grease, the musical on the first opening in KL.

HehEh... Enlightening though.

One thing I really need to comment on is the late comers. The show starts at 8.30 sharp.
They should close the door and wait until the next interval. Some ppl will never learn to be on time... watever the excuses is, there is always time allocationa and adjustments.

The worst is that they are blocking my view as I am sitting at the pathway. Everyone comes in blocks my view on the play. It is really irritating.

Not that I am always punctual ( esp in class... *kKEkEKKe* ). But at least I was never ever late during my flying days and seldom late in important events.

"Spoonful of sugar

The medicine go down-wown "
"The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar
helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way "

This song is in my head all day.

Watched Mary Poppins yesterday night. It is simply splendid. Right from the very beginning till the end.

I totally forgot how it amazed me when I was lil. And here it amazed me again.

The simplicity of this film. It makes everythings so special. Wondrously impossible things happen starting with Mary Poppin's bottomless carpet bag and the sliding the children through the handle of the stairs.

The measuring tape. Not just 'a' measuring tape. It measures the personality of the person that was being measured.

Bringing you to another world thru the pathway drawings... with penguins as waiters, merry-go-round horses that went off to compete in the horse race and 'wins' the race.

Mary's all purpose word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!". When you do not have anything to say or speechless, do just say this word and everything will turn out alright!

The cleaning of chimneys and the song 'chim chimeny chim chim cheroo'. Splendid!!

HahA... There is so much magic and adventure in it... loads loads more.

Simply gay, charming and irreverent.

There is always a certain limit to everything.

A very close person in my life just breached that limit.

I can't say I am dissappointed. I just wish she can leave me alone to handle my life. It's my life.
I won't regret in watever path I choose but certainly not the path that she chose for me.

It might be out of concern and worried. But still I strongly believe that I, myself, only can get out of the nightmare.

I can't get angry at her. She means too much to me.

I certainly hope that this doing of hers won't withdraw me from her. I will not dare to confront her ever again. More so on my feelings and my life.

Nuovo Cinema Paradiso

Superb and excellent.... worth the 3 hour of my time spent in this movie.

This movie is about Salvatore's flashback.

It started out where Salvatore is an accomplished director of his time, looking back to his childhood and how he falls in love with the movies thru Alfredo, an old man who works as a local projectionist in the Cinema Paradiso. He teaches young Salvatore all about film and the passion in film was pass on to him.

He starts to fall in love with his love of his life in his teens. Conflicts come between them and etc etc. They fell apart thru misunderstandings and Salvatore left his town in search of his dreams.

A simple movie on love and life. No matter how far and how long you take to forget your past, but it's like a shadow tagging along only to realize the fact that it is you who made the shadow.
Learn to let go.

Basically, this movie is touching and yet powerful and emotional demanding the tears from everyone... oh well... esp me!

Butt bUrned??

I went to Redang straight after my finals.

I decided to go for tanning.

I have not been tanning myself since I was back to M'sia. I still remember the days that I went tanning with Tracy. Tracy likes her tan. I sometimes company her to the pools or any beaches when we hagve our team flights. Just having fun... relaxing by the pool or beach. Talking nonsense. Have a fag or two. Of coz, with the booze!!!

I still remember the times that I actually went to the tanning booth... and also tried the self tanning cream... etc etc... haHAhah.

Anyway, since I am in Redang, why not make full use of the sun and the beautiful sun? I need a change. Wat tHE HeCk ! My life changed hell lots this past few months... what is this lil tan will do me?

The second day in Redang, I am prepared to put on my sun oil and lie on the bench with my beloved iPod. I put on loads of sun oil to make sure I have the nice dark brown tan and it is suppose to prolonged the tan longer. I strongly emphasized on my shoulder and back. Hey! I want a tan and not sun burn.

There is one tiny prob.

After the whole day of tanning, I went back to the room realizing that I forgot to put the sun oil below my ass. *gOSh* I was so in pain!! I can't even sit down as my skin is too raw for any touch. I totally forgot that part of my body. Hey!! I have no one to put my sun oil on! Obviously I was sitting down when I am putting the sun oil. It just slip my mind that the butt is also another important part!!

My dear dear frens helped me to put on loads of soothing aloe vera gel all over after my shower. *pHew*
Thanks to Grace!!!

Oh well... do imagine what is 'monkey ass' / 'mar lou si furt'?? Well.. my ass looks like it. My frens told me so. *sigh*

It hurts so much.. I can't sit and move too much. Not to mention about sleeping!! I actually need to sleep with my back up!! so there is no contact with my ass.

The pains stayed till now... and today is the 3rd day since I was back.

Oh well to all singledom... who have no one to put on the sunoil :

- A gentle reminder -> don't forget your ass -
