Rain on a Tuesday

Rain! Waking up on a rainy day is wonderful only in weekends. Definitely not on a working day, especially on a Tuesday. The blues from Monday will be dragged along throughout the day making the weekdays longer and dearer.

Truth is that this week will be the last week at work before my trip back to Malaysia. Days in the office seems extremely long with every second pass like hours.

Just a thought: I started to wonder what I truly want in my life.

Wicked - Alone

I went to see ‘Wicked”. Alone.
It was really fantastic. I had my doubts at first as the book ain’t really my cuppa. I search the reviews online and checked with Deb. Got a green sign and decided to watch the play in Melbourne.
No regrets. I totally enjoyed it.

Guess wat? I am all grown up. I have started to eat at a café on my own (just on Sunday morning for brunch… woosh one step at a time!!) and heading to musicals on my own. Yey!!! Give myself a pat at the back. Wen is all grown up and it’s about time!!!

You know how some things can just lit up your day.

I had one today.

I was, as usual, on my way to work. Taking the tram. Listening to Grace Kelly by Mika. I got a sit on the tram today. I head out earlier to work now. Firstly, I do not wanna rush. Secondly, I hate to cram myself with others in the tram. I got out my book to read, titled “The elegance of the Hedgehog”. What I really wanted to mention and felt worth taking note is that while I was reading on the exact word the same exact word from the song came out.

The word is “doesn’t solve anything”.

Cmon! What’s the odd!
It did put a smile on my face at 7.45am.

Back and off again

Gosh! I have not been updating this blog for ages. My last blog was in April and we are in the late July now.
Well, many happenings. Ups and downs. Far and near.
I finally got a job. Phew! After months of anxiety and desperation, I got a job. In Melbourne. I do not want to go into details about the job. Job, is after all just a job. Full stop. End. Nothing more to tell.
Life now is all fuzzy and uncertain. Heck, all my life is. I lead a fuzzy and uncertain life. It does not make any difference now. All that is certain is that I have wonderful family, loving bf and amazing friends. Well, that’s all that matters anyway.

Wizard & Wicked

What a coincidence.

I downloaded some songs randomly from the internet and put iTunes on shuffle mode and started to read while enjoying the music.

I was reading Wicked by . After reading a few pages, this song came up.

"We're Off to See the Wizard" Harold Arlen

This song was sung in the movie "The Wizard of Oz". It's a classic. Such a coincidence as the book I am reading is base also on Wizard of Oz. Correction. More on the witch of the west.

Glad.

I started reading again.

I've been slacking on my read. Thanks to the bundles of journals I read last semester, have had enough of it, I stopped or slow-down my reading for ages.

Thanks to Bram Stroker. I induce myself back to the fantasy and imaginary world. I love every bits of Dracula.

It's 2 am. The mocha did the trick. I am still wide awake. Just finished Louis de Bernières's "The Partisan's Daughter". It captured me. Though it's rather confusing with the two narrators in the book. I can't seem to judge if the story is from Roza or from the old man's memory in certain parts of the book. But in total, it was worth the read.

Next book: The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers

Can't wait.
